2024 Victorian Country Champions!

Over the weekend, we travelled to Traralgon to compete in the 2024 Victorian Country Championships. Our team of 63 swimmers raced hard and fast over the three day meet, having to work extra hard to get our team across the line. With the leading team alternating throughout the weekend, we ultimately came out on top, winning our third Victorian Country Championships title in as many years.

All have worked extremely hard over many months to ensure swimmers were performing at their best across the three-day meet and will continue to do so over the coming months.
A big thanks goes out to all of our wonderful families and volunteers who travelled with the team to Traralgon – your support is invaluable and you are just as much part of this win as those who hit the water.
We also congratulate and acknowledge long-time district Official, Mary Voss who was awarded the Herb Jeffrey Award, recognising her 15+ year commitment to country swimming. We thank you for all of your hard work and support over many years within our district and beyond. Congratulations!
We thank Swimming Victoria, the Traralgon Swimming Club and the Gippsland District for organising this wonderful meet, we can’t wait to be back in Traralgon for Short Course Countries. But before then, we turn our focus to State Opens, Nationals and Olympic Trials!
