Performance Squad

Designed for swimmers aiming for excellence at national and international levels. This squad focuses on advanced technique refinement, intensive training regimens, and strategic race preparation to compete at the highest echelons of the sport.
National Squad

Recommended sessions: 7+ sessions per week plus gym/dryland
Purpose:
Tailored for athletes targeting success at national competitions. Emphasizes comprehensive training programs that enhance endurance, strength, and race strategies, preparing swimmers for peak performance at national meets.
Senior Competitive Squad
Coach: Kai Vincent
Recommended sessions: 4 per week
Purpose:
The Club Competitive Squad is for 14 + and upwards who enjoy their swimming but without the higher performance requirements. The focus of training is on all elements from Speed to Aerobic work. The Dryland component is for general fitness and overall core development, with some strength conditioning. The Club squad is encouraged to swim individual events at SV Country Championships & in relays providing they meet QT’s, and GSC Championships Relay Policy
State Gold Squad

Purpose:
The pinnacle of the State program, this squad is for athletes striving to excel at state championships and transition to national-level competition. Training is measured, with a focus on advanced skills, endurance, and race strategies to maximize performance.
State Squad

Designed for swimmers preparing for success at state-level events. This squad emphasizes technical refinement, aerobic conditioning, and competition readiness to build a strong foundation for higher performance.
State Development Squad

A squad for emerging athletes new to competitive swimming at the state level. Focused on technique improvement, foundational fitness, and developing confidence in a competitive environment.
Junior Gold Squad

Purpose:
For young swimmers demonstrating advanced skills and a commitment to competitive swimming. Training includes stroke refinement, race preparation, and the development of endurance for higher levels of competition.

An intermediate squad for swimmers progressing in their competitive swimming journey. Emphasizes improving technique, building stamina, and introducing basic competition strategies.

The entry point for competitive swimming, this squad introduces swimmers to structured training, foundational techniques, and the basics of race preparation in a fun and encouraging setting.
Transition Squad
Coach: Learn to Swim Teachers
Recommended sessions: 1 squad plus 1 learn to swim lesson
Purpose: This squad is for those swimmers in our LTS program who are thinking about taking their swimming further, whilst still learning fundamental stroke techniques. The two main focus areas of this squad are increasing swimming time and distance. We will be introducing the fundamental racing skills of starts, turns and finishes at this initial level.
