After the success of the 2024 Victorian Country Championships, President, Glenn Benson has announced his retirement from the position effective immediately.
Glenn has been planning a move for the last few months, and to go out on such a high is a testament to the mountain of work over his time as President.
We thank Glenn for his dedication to the Club and want to highlight some key milestones across his time as President.
– Securing our first Victorian Championships win in over 20 years
– The acquisition and implementation of our very own Learn to Swim School and feeder pathway for young swimmers
– Secured a long standing lane hire agreement with the City of Greater Geelong
– The establishment of the Geelong Swimming Club Foundation
– Life membership
– and many more!
Glenn will continue to support the club via the Learn to Swim School and the Clubs Foundation and we hope to see him around the pool soon.
